E.J. Donaghey, CCUE

President/Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Donaghey has been the President/CEO of the credit union since 2008. He has nearly 30 years of experience in the financial services and credit union industries, as well as more than 20 years of strategic planning and strategic facilitation process experience. Mr. Donaghey is a Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE), Certified League Executive (CLE) and a member of the Illinois Credit Union League/League Service Corporation Board of Directors. As an alum of Elmhurst College and Northwestern University, he mentors undergraduate and graduate students at both institutions. Mr. Donaghey is also actively involved with the Center for Professional Responsibility & Ethics at the University of Illinois College of Business.

Chris Harlan

Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer

A native of Champaign-Urbana, Mr. Harlan joined the credit union in 2009. His background includes five years of professional management experience within the financial services industry and nearly 15 years of retail and financial services sales management as a local small business owner. He holds degrees from Parkland College, Illinois State University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Mr. Harlan volunteers extensively with a variety of community organizations.

Jennifer Peyton

Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer

Mrs. Peyton joined the credit union in 1992. Peyton received her Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her MBA from Eastern Illinois University.

Kim Cheek

Executive Vice President Human Resources

Mrs. Cheek joined the credit union in 1993. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Illinois in 1993 and her Masters of Education in Human Resource Development in 2011.

Greg Anderson, CCUE

Senior Vice President/Chief Relationship Officer

Mr. Anderson has over 24 years of experience in the credit union movement and has been with the University of Illinois Community Credit Union since 1993. He has held positions in lending, marketing, operations, and member service over his credit union career. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and holds a CCUE certification.

Ryan Fisher

Vice President of Finance & Accounting/Controller

Mr. Fisher joined the credit union in 2009. He received both his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agribusiness, Farm and Financial Management and his MBA from the University of Illinois.

Stacey Russell

Vice President of Underwriting

Mrs. Russell joined the credit union in 1995 and has held various roles ranging from the teller department to consumer and mortgage lending. She received her Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Erik Spitzner

Vice President of Information & Technology

Mr. Spitzner joined the credit union in 2010. He received both his Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering and his MBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Sheri Shannon

Assistant Vice President Board Relations

Mrs. Shannon has over 25 years of experience in the credit union movement and has been with UICCU since 1996. She received her Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Greenville College, Greenville, Illinois.
