Touch ID and Face ID are available on the U of I Community Credit Union Mobile Banking App for iPhone users.
How it Works
Instead of logging into your account with your username and password each time you open the UICCU Mobile Banking App, you can use Touch ID or Face ID to login.
How to Get Started
Open the UICCU Mobile Banking App, type in your username and password, and click “Login”.
Once you have logged in, open the menu by clicking the three bars on the top left of your screen.
Select “Preferences” in the menu.
Here you can turn on or off Touch ID or Face ID depending on your device type.
Note: Make sure you have downloaded the latest version of the U of I Community Credit Union Mobile Banking app to your phone. If your app did not automatically update you can do so in the App Store. Also, If you do not have Touch ID or Face ID set up on your iPhone yet, you will need to do so in the “Settings” icon before you can begin using it in the app.
How to Set Up Touch ID or Face ID on Your iPhone
To set up Touch ID on your iPhone, go to your “Settings” icon. Scroll down and find “Touch ID & Passcode” or “Face ID & Passcode”. You will be prompted to enter your 4 or 6 digit Passcode if you have one set up. Here you can turn Touch ID or Face ID on or off for iPhone Unlock, Apple Pay, and iTunes & App Store, and any apps that use Touch ID or Face ID. This is also where you set up fingerprints for Touch ID and facial recognition for Face ID.
Select “Add a Fingerprint” to begin. You will be prompted to place your finger on the circle home button repeatedly. Be sure not to actually click the home button, you are just placing your finger gently on it. You will feel a slight vibration as the gray lines on the fingerprint image begin to turn red. You will then be prompted to adjust your grip to capture more of your fingerprint. Once all gray fingerprint lines have turned red, you will be notified that the process is complete. Click “Continue” to return to the Touch ID & Passcode settings menu. (You are able to add more than one fingerprint if you wish.)
Select “Set Up Face ID” to begin. Position your face in the camera frame, then move your head in a circle to show all the angles of your face. You will then be prompted to begin a second scan. Once this is complete Face ID will be enabled for use on your iPhone.
