Merger Information

Why is this merger taking place?

As outlined in the announcement form the Urbana Postal CU board, the primary reasons for the merger are to:

  • Provide continued value of credit union membership.
  • Provide expanded access to products and services.
  • Maintain local service, ownership, and control.

When will the merger take place?

The effective date of the merger is projected to be April 30, 2019.

General Membership Information

Will my account number change?

Yes, you will be assigned a new account number at UICCU which will house the same account(s) you currently have at Urbana Postal CU.

When will I have access to my new accounts at UICCU?

You can expect access on Wednesday, May 1.

What is UICCU's Dividend Rate on Savings?

UICCU currently pays .05% APY on Regular Savings.

What are my options to earn higher dividends with UICCU?

Options include:

Loan Information

Will there be any changes to my auto loan(s)?

No.  Your current loan rate, payment, due date, and terms will remain as is.  Any new loans or refinances will be based on UICCU’s rates and terms in effect at the time of the loan.

How do I make payments on my loan(s)?

You have a number of payments options, including:

  • Automatic payment in iBranch Home Banking from UICCU Checking or Savings
  • Via payroll deduction
  • Via automatic payment from another institution – contact UICCU to initiate
  • In person or by mail

Your Guide to Getting Started with Us

After approval of the merger, we want to help you get started with us.  At the U of I Community Credit Union, we strive to be your financial coaches regardless of where you are in life.

Once the merger is complete on April 30, we ask that you sign up for Online Banking and our Mobile App.  These services will help you manage and access your accounts from the comfort and convenience of your home.

Just give us a call or visit one of our branches to provide your email address and you’ll be ready to get started.

iBranch – Online Banking

Once we have an up-to-date email on file, you are able to enroll in online banking.  iBranch, as we call it.  iBranch allows you to manage your accounts with us by providing up-to-date balance information, transaction history, online bill pay, person-to-person transfers, and so much more.  Check it out!

iBranch Enrollment Guide

  1. Make sure you have a valid email address on file with UICCU.  You can update your email address by giving us a call at 217-278-7700 or stopping into one of our branches.
  2. Go to the Home Banking Login box at the top right of the page and click “Enroll”. If you are using a mobile device, open the Menu and click “Log In” under the iBranch Username box. Here you will find “First Time Enrollment” to the right of the page.
  3. Agree to the disclosure
  4. Enter the primary account holder’s personal information and your new UICCU account number. This must match the information on file at UICCU.
  5. Follow the prompts to set up an iBranch ID, password and security. Your iBranch ID is not your account number, and must be between 6-12 characters, begin with a letter, and include letters and/or numbers. Your password must be between 6-20 characters and must include at least one of each of the following: upper case letter, lower case letter, number, special character (space, period, tilde, colon, ampersand and non-printable characters are not allowed)
  6. Follow the prompts to select your personal identification image, enter your additional personal identification questions and answers, and set up an online password recovery question and answer.

After your initial set up, you’ll use your iBranch ID and password to access your accounts.

 

UICCU Mobile App

To give you even more access to your accounts, we offer a mobile app.  Take your accounts with you wherever you go.  Now you can check your balances, deposit checks to a checking account, set up accounts alerts, and more from the convenience of your phone.  We even created a guide to our mobile app if you want learn more.  Just search for “UICCU” in the app store and look for this icon… UICCU Mobile App Icon
